Keeping things tidy is not something I am good at. Clean yes, but tidy no. I am so fortunate to have an entire room to work in. It's an amazing gift. My problem is keeping it workable. Most of my work ends up on the coffee table instead of my amazing workspace. HUGE problem. Last night after a long discussion I simply cleaned it up. You can see the floor. I can't believe it. The funny part is that really, I'm a floor scraper-anything-er. I hate chairs. I'm a fidgeter so floors allow me to move as much as I want (I'm laying on the living floor typing this). I guess I just need to come to terms with floor work or invest in a fancy chair to work at a desk with. If I do invest in a fancy chair I think it will be an ottoman. There is no point in trying to get me to sit on something with arms and a back.
This is my embellishment-tag-not scrap-card making desk. Look you can see the floor!!!!
This is my card-scrap desk which looks pretty much the same as my other desk. See the bar with cups and things hanging? It's my favourite organizational tool from Ikea at the moment. Aside from the pretty green cups and functionality I really like the S hooks (not a technical term) you can get. If you can make it out, I have some page protectors, quickutz cutting tips and a stapler hooked to them. The stapler might be my pride and joy. I simply tied some ribbon around the end of it and voila! It hangs and stays out the way on my desk.
This weekend is sure to be busy, my first craft fair is this Sunday. AH! Fingers crossed it goes wonderfully. In other less wonderful news someone decided to kick in my headlights and the VW embelem on my '85 Jetta. Really, was that necessary? It's an '85 junker. It gets me around. It has a sunroof and a leaky trunk. Why couldn't they have just left me a card or note?
Keep your cars safe :)
